OneU Internship

Are you a current college student who is interested in exploring ministry as a potential career option? Our OneU Internship experience seeks to provide experience to help you in your decision to step into campus ministry as a career. Interns should expect to get hands-on experience with administrative work, event planning, spiritual development, fundraising, freshmen recruiting process, and discipleship.

Description:

An intern for OneU will have the opportunity to experience some of the roles and responsibilities of a Campus Minister. An intern will assist the staff team in summer planning, they will execute administrative responsibilities, they will oversee strategic teams and specific events, and they will build a financial support network. We are looking for someone who is eager to serve and execute both the relational and administrative responsibilities of a campus minister. The summer months are a unique time in our yearly calendar as they focus largely on preparing and planning for the upcoming school year. An intern will play an important role in setting up for a successful school year and relieving the current staff team of administrative duties. The internship will begin on May 26th and extend through August 15th.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend summer staff meetings and assist team in planning 

  • Organize storage unit and take inventory

  • Collect and clean mugs for Chug’a’mug event

  • Lead summer freshmen recruiting efforts

  • Update events to the website

  • Coordinate with the worship team plan for the year. 

  • Bring new ideas to further connect OneU’s community together & SRC. 

  • Attend SRC over the summer

  • Give feedback on bible studies to new student leaders on the team. 

  • Present to OneU staff about what they learned and what needs to be offloaded for the year. 

  • Coordinate food plan for Leadership Retreat

  • Oversee and order shirts for Fall Semester

  • Attend weekly check-ins and personal growth training in discipleship and evangelism.

  • Complete personal growth plan

  • Raise 50-75% of salary needs (~$6,000-8,000)

  • Be available to execute other summer ministry tasks 

Salary: Pay will be an annual salary of $40,000 prorated over a three month time period.
