About Jake
Jake grew up in a loving Christian home where he became a believer at a very young age. While his faith was always a part of his life, he did not experience what it meant to make his faith his own until he left for college. During Jake’s first weekend of his freshmen year, he was introduced to the students and staff of OneU, and has called the ministry home since.
College was the most spiritually transformative period for Jake, and OneU was the instrument through which God worked in Him. Jake struggled with questions of assurances, his identity in Christ, and the plans and purpose of his future. Fortunately, Jake found many mentors and peers in OneU who helped him walk through each of these fears one by one, helping him abandon shame and embrace grace. In Jake’s final semester, he felt a lot of his internal desires to change. Throughout college, he had been intensely focused on his finance career and the success it would bring him. In His mysterious ways, the Lord quickly softened Jake’s heart toward ministry.
Jake understands the pivotal role college plays in the life of a young believer, and is passionate about transforming the lives of students for Christ. He is deeply thankful to the Lord for OneU, and is excited about the opportunity to give back to the community that gave him so much.
